Many dogs have special needs. Senior dogs may not be able to stand for the time it takes to be groomed. Many dogs suffer from anxiety or fear driven behaviors that often cause them to be turned away by groomers.

     At the Happy Hound, we will always do our best to make your dog's experience as stress-free as possible. Unlike a large, busy grooming shop or multi-service loation, we only have one family of dogs in our shop at once. So if you only have one dog, s/he will be the only one in our shop. This is especially important with current COVID safety guidelines

     In the case of anxious dogs, we are able to make sure they are the only ones here, thereby relieving a lot of the sensory input that stresses dogs out. Our space is clean, bright, homey, and quiet. Most dogs are much more at ease when they come to us.

     We will take the extra time needed to try to help your dog accept grooming and make it as positive an experience as possible.
